Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 18, 2026
GlowProof is built on a simple promise: your photos never leave your device. This policy explains exactly what the app does and doesn't collect.
Face Data and Progress Photos
Collection and intended uses. GlowProof's photo feature is optional. If you choose to take or select a baseline or progress photo, GlowProof processes the facial image on your device. Apple's on-device Vision framework detects the presence, position, size, and orientation of a face. GlowProof separately evaluates image lighting. When GlowProof aligns two photos for a comparison, Vision temporarily locates eye landmarks in those images. GlowProof uses this information only to guide consistent photo capture, align your own photos, and display private before-and-after comparisons.
GlowProof does not use face data for facial recognition, identity verification, authentication, advertising, tracking, profiling, machine-learning training, or medical or health measurement. GlowProof does not create a biometric profile or facial-recognition template and does not use face data for any purpose other than the photo features described above.
Processing, storage, and retention. All face-data processing occurs entirely on your device. Baseline and progress photos and the face position, size, and orientation values associated with a saved photo are stored only in GlowProof's private on-device storage, protected by iOS file encryption. Live camera guidance values, lighting values, and eye landmarks used during alignment are not retained separately after that processing is complete. Stored photos and associated face-positioning values remain until you delete them using the in-app control described below or delete GlowProof from your device. GlowProof has no account, cloud photo store, or server copy from which this data could be retrieved.
Sharing and disclosure. GlowProof does not upload, disclose, sell, or share photos, facial images, facial landmarks, positioning information, lighting information, or any other face-related data with Apple, RevenueCat, advertisers, data brokers, GlowProof servers, or any other third party. Apple's Vision framework performs the described analysis locally as part of iOS; Apple does not receive the photos or resulting face data. Because GlowProof does not share face data with third parties, there is no third-party face-data recipient to which an equal-protection requirement would apply.
Deletion and revoking consent. You can permanently delete all stored photos and associated face data without deleting the app by opening Profile in GlowProof and choosing Delete photo data. Deleting GlowProof also permanently removes all locally stored photos and face data. You can stop collection and use at any time by not taking or choosing additional photos. You can revoke camera access in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Camera > GlowProof; this prevents new camera captures but does not delete photos already saved. GlowProof cannot remotely access, restore, or retain data you delete because it never receives a copy.
Your notes and session history
Session records, notes, and moods are stored only on your device. We cannot read them.
Purchases
Subscriptions are processed by Apple through your App Store account. We use RevenueCat to validate subscriptions; RevenueCat receives an anonymous identifier and purchase receipt data from Apple, never your photos or personal content. See RevenueCat's privacy policy.
What we never collect
- Photos or any image data
- Names, emails, or contact information
- Location data
- Health or medical records
- Advertising identifiers — GlowProof contains no ads and no trackers
Data deletion
Photos and associated face-positioning data can be deleted inside GlowProof from Profile > Delete photo data. Sessions, notes, and moods also live only on your device. Deleting the app permanently deletes all of this local content. Purchase and entitlement records are managed by Apple and RevenueCat under their respective policies.
Children
GlowProof is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date above. The core promise — photos stay on your device — will not change.
